Born February 12, 1982, I, Levi grew up on a farm in Bolivar, Missouri where I learned that a good work ethic goes a long way. It was there that I also developed my love for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. I also had the privilege of being part of a christian family. At an early age I placed my faith in the finished work of the cross accepting Jesus Christ as mysubstitutional sacrifice and personal Savior.
One of my teachers from church became a mentor to me and began challenging me for missions during my high school years. God used that challenge to take me to Bolivia on a short-term missions trip with New Tribes Mission following my junior year in high school. It was there that God got my attention and made it clear that He would have me be involved in full-time ministry. It was the following summer, when I returned to Bolivia, that God gave me the desire to be involved in planting tribal churches with New Tribes Mission.
Packing up my family and moving them to Papua New Guinea was not an easy thing! When is it ever easy to leave behind, all that you know and are comfortable with to explore something new. Knowing that we may never see some of our family members again this side of eternity doesn't make it any easier. Oh, I'm not saying that I don't love it here in PNG, because I do. However, it has taken time to adjust and we're still working through that daily.
