A Note About Sending Packages Internationally
Shipping packages internationally can be trickey at times. Each country varies-what works good in one country won't necessairly be the best solution in another. Here in Papua New Guinea, we have been advised to have everything sent via airmail. We were reassured that this is the most efficient and guaranteed way that we will receive the item in a timely manner. We have been highly discouraged from having anything sent via surface mail, as it can take up to 6 months or longer to arrive. In some cases it's taken close to a year. The downside to sending packages airmail is the cost. You will have to check with your local post office to see what the cost is per pound.
**Make sure to mark across the package "Gift For Missionary, No Retail Value". This often helps to minimize the customs charges on this end.
