CHURCH PLANTERS
Levi, Robyn, Michael (age 4), & Daniel (age 2) Lenz
We arrived in Madang, Papua New Guinea on December 31, 2006 to be involved in tribal church planting in Papua New Guinea. By the Grace of God, we hope to take the Gospel to one of Papua New Guinea's 863 language groups. We served on the support center until June 2009. Levi oversaw the Center Maintenace and Grounds as well as our National co-workers and Robyn was active in children's ministries and planning center fellowship meetings.
UPDATE: In April of 2009 we officially joined two other families who are working among the North Wahgi people of Papua New Guinea, Daniel and Rachel Hulley of Wales and Andrew and Nelli Wilson of N. Ireland and Germany.
In June of 2009, we left our ministry in Madang and moved to the Highland's Region.
In August of 2009, we moved interior and began house building in our new remote location and began offical Culture and Language Acquisition (CLA-study) in November of 2009.
*New Tribes Mission works to reach the language groups that are in more remote settings, isolated from the westernized world in most cases. In order to be able to communicate clearly the message of the Gospel of grace, we have moved into a remote location in order to build relationships with the people, learn their culture and heart language (the language they laugh and cry in), in order for us to be able to adequately teach literacy, translate the Scriptures, and teach chronologically through the Word of God in their heart language. Our long term goal and desire is to see a biblical model of a New Testament Church born and raised up to maturity and discipled to continue on its own with the aid of the Holy Spirit.
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
Our desire is to live the message of the Gospel through our actions before we can teach it with our words. Christ said that it is by our love that others will know that we are His disciples. The way we live our lives before their eyes - in any situation, whether stateside or abroad - validates the message that we are desiring to teach with our Words.
Do they see love? Do they see unity? The way we interact with eachother and our children needs to exemplify how a Christ-centered family should function. This will be very different from their culture. The way we work with our teammates should demonstrate unity, brotherly love, and an overall concern for one-another. This is our hearts desire. We appreciate your prayers!
TIME SENSITIVE
"Time Sensitive Material Enclosed", is what the envelope had stamped across the front of it. As you would expect this was a trick just to get me to open my junk mail before I opened the other mail. It didn't work, but it did get me thinking.
As believers we have Time Sensitive Material: the Gospel of the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ- Our Living God who became man in order that He may become our perfect sacrificial lamb and shed His blood for all of our sins.
It is time sensitive in the fact that nobody is guaranteed tomorrow. We have the key to ETERNAL life. Are we really treating it as if it is time sensitive or have we taken it for granted? This was a reality check for me. There have been many times I've used junk mail to start fires, but I never would have thought that God would use a piece of junk mail to re-kindle the fire under me to take His message to those in Papua New Guinea.

Please keep checking in as our site is under construction.
We apologize for the time lapse since our last update we are serving now in a remote location and do not have internet access.
